Upskill: Level design
One of the modules that I completed at university was 'Upskill', a module focused at self improvement. Since I have particular fondness for level design and not getting lost, I chose to do my module on level design with a focus on subtly guiding players. As I'll go through in the video, my process consisted of researching what are factors that could help or hinder the players ability to navigate a level, then made several levels that used these factors as variables, ran players through them and recorded the player times to see how long each level took to complete. However, as I discovered the time it took to complete the levels wasn't the result that should've been measuring.
